Whether you’ve got your cousins over for a holiday or just want to fulfill your weekend woes, I’ve got you covered. Give yourself some refreshment and get set to strike out each of the following names from your bucket-list!

Bagru

Grab your snacks & juices and head to Bagru. Yes, Bagru! Thought of it as just a boring hand-block printing place? Keep reading! ‘I really enjoyed the workshop and it was a lot of fun designing and printing a rug and a scarf…’, says one of the comments on Studio Bagru’s page on TripAdvisor. There are many such foundations in the city of block printing where you can enjoy thumping a neatly stretched fabric in front of you while you’re also taught the art of doing it! What more to ask for when you also get to carry your own handmade freebies back home. These Bagru items are sold as premium national art objects at posh prices in places far from here. So, you better value your chance!

The name, also known as a printing style nationwide, Bagru is a city 28 kms west of Jaipur. With multiple factories sourcing valuable art pieces to the world, Bagru provides a lot of workshops to its visitors. You should book one for yourself beforehand to be sure of the availability and time slots.

Nahargarh

So, if you’d rather splurge on snacking on-site rather than carry it, Nahargarh has a restaurant primarily loaded with snacks. A Jaipur newcomer’s favorite, Nahargarh has the perfect vibe to feel your free-will side. There are several spots for you to spread your sheet or simply use the trusty stone walls to make yourself comfortable and enjoy your time. How often do you get a chance to have a picnic on the Aravali Hills!

Nahargarh Fort also has a wax museum in its premises, where you can pay a small fee and enjoy the artistry inside. Then, you can have a stroll for a couple of hours inside to explore its architectural beauty.

Going to Nahargarh is a long-drive lover’s treat. It feels like a pseudo-trek going up the slanting roads to reach the princely fort. Be it bike ride with your friends or a family trip in your car, picnic to Nahargarh is a one of its kind journey where the refreshment starts before you’ve reached your destination!

For all the adrenaline junkies, this is the best option to try out at least once! Depending on the weather, the max elevation the balloon takes varies, the maximum it reaches is approximately 1200 feet from the ground. 4-8 members are allowed in the ride and the minimum age to the board is 5 years.
