To Live & let live
Small eyes blink the world in,
Only to compress it
in a ball of Technicolor,
dipped in innocence
& cradled with baby soft skin.
Some hot sugary milk,
a couple of warm embrace,
sweet whispering in the dark;
& a lullaby;
that’s all for the day
Care to wake, care to sleep;
The world seems a better place
with a corner to weep & cry.
Vision gone big
with the Mountain High,
Oceans deep is where
my memories lie.
Mind is long awake
even before the slumber,
Old friend turned enemy,
pillow watches over my shoulder.
Ambition is my alarm clock,
work is worship,
love is a distraction
& ego is no key.
Care to wake,
care to sleep;
The world seems a better place
with a corner to seep & greed.
Enlarged vision,
now gone microscopic.
The years of youth & young
drip on a dusty heap,
Death is my wake up call,
ambition turned into a decayed leaf.
Time is a loyal friend,
a stubborn teacher & an old belief.
Love is a motivator,
friendship is blessing &
Bible is my technology
which needs no addressing.
Care to wake, care to sleep;
The world seems a better place,
with a hope to LIVE & LET LIVE.
